spring vick - $1500 Flight scholarship
“Hello, my name is Spring. I am deeply thankful for being awarded this scholarship. For over 26 years, I have served as a flight attendant at Delta. I was recently chosen for Delta’s Advanced Propel pilot pathway program. As a single mother and the sole provider for my four children, whom I have primary custody of, I decided to return to school after 20 years and completed my bachelor's degree. Inspired by this achievement, I pursued flight school. Six years on, I have obtained my ratings and am currently working towards a doctorate in Aviation. Receiving this scholarship is incredibly timely, as I am set to begin my CFII training next week in an accelerated program. Lately, I've questioned whether changing careers at this stage was prudent. However, this award is a clear signal to ignore those doubts and keep striving towards my goals!”
alli hinmon - Kings school ground school scholarship
“Hi I am Alli, a student pilot currently completing my private pilot certification. My goal is to become a commercial pilot and fly missions for medical personnel to reach communities in need. Having studied pre-med at UCLA, I've witnessed firsthand the unfortunate reality of individuals being deprived of quality healthcare simply due to their geographical location. This award means that I am one step closer in achieving my goals and bridging this gap in healthcare. Thank you so much!”
