Not at all! Women in Aviation welcomes people from all aviation and aerospace backgrounds, as well as enthusiasts and supporters. Members include pilots, engineers, mechanics, flight attendants, customer service agents, students, and many more.

Yes! Students are encouraged to join. WAI offers student memberships, and our chapter often hosts events focused on mentorship, career exploration, and networking for students interested in aviation and aerospace.

Please allow 24 hours to receive confirmation of your membership. We recommend adding info@waisandiego.org to your contacts and checking your junk or spam folder incase the message was filtered.

If you signed up for a student membership, you will receive a request to verify your student status by submitting documentation.

We love when members want to get more involved! There are lots of ways to participate, depending on your interests and availability. You can:

• Volunteer at chapter events

• Join one of our committees (more information can be found here)

• Help with outreach or community events

Slack is our chapter’s main communication platform. It’s a messaging workspace where members can:
